Yesterday, the Republic Health Inspection Service closed the Public Pre-school Institution Kindergarten “Palčić” in Teslić for endangering the lives and health of children.

During the visit of the facilities of this business the inspection found that construction works were being performed in the building. There were carpentry works on the ground floor (replacement of room doors) while on the first floor there was renovation of the kitchen, sanitary facilities and carpentry works (room doors). During the inspection, the officials found entries to kindergarten rooms without doorframes and doors with rough work on the walls, while the children were inside, during naptime.

“In order to prevent direct harm on lives and health of children, using authorities prescribed in the Law on Inspections of the Republic of Srpska, verbal decision was made in the minutes to issue a ban of operation of this preschool institution until the renovation is completed. Therefore, further stay of children in this preschool institution has been prevented, while the markings of ban were visibly placed at the entrance to the building”, said Chief Republic Health Inspector Milica Matijević.
