The Republic Veterinary Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning the compliance  of the regulations referring to health protection of animals, protection and wellbeing of animals, veterinary activity, veterinary medications and supplements and other administrative areas if so regulated..

In accordance with regulated competence, the Republic Veterinary Inspection Service controls:

• production and traffic of raw materials and food of animal origin,
• production and traffic of feed,
• performance of veterinary activities,
• enforcement of measures for control and suppression of transmittable animal diseases,
• animal health protection,
• keeping, farming and wellbeing of animals and
• other requirements prescribed by the law.
