The Republic Education Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning compliance of the regulations referring to preschool, elementary, high, higher and adult education, standard of students in schools and universities, culture and culture related activities, sports, and other administrative areas if so regulated.
In accordance with regulated competences, the Republic Education Inspection Service controls:
- establishing and work of educational institutions
- formation and work of management of an institution,
- formation and work of expert organs of an institution,
- employment of educators, teachers, professors and associates,
- dealing with records, registers and journals,
- enrolling of students in an educational institution,
- application of educational-disciplinary measures on elementary and high school students, and disciplinary measures on university students,
- issuing public documents confirming acquired education and
- other requirements prescribed by the law.
