The Republic Technical Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning compliance with the regulations referring to power supply, energy sources, pressurized equipment, mining and geology and other administrative areas if so regulated.

In accordance with regulated competences, the Republic Technical Inspection Service inspects:

• production, transfer, distribution and use of electricity, as well as construction and maintenance of power facilities,
• production and use of pressurised containers, boiler plants, thermal and hydropower plants, industrial plants, city and other heating plants,
• mining, planning, exploitation and processing of mineral goods, building and maintenance of mining facilities, plants and devices, occupational safety and health in the area of mining,
• the quality of liquid petroleum fuels,
• geological surveys and execution of geological works when it comes to exploitation of mineral goods and
• other requirements prescribed by the law.
