The Republic Water Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning the compliance with the regulations referring to waters, environment protection concerning waters, abidance to the ways of water use and water acts in areas of water protection, maintenance of water beds and water land, water objects and facilities and other administrative areas if so regulated.

In accordance with regulated competences, the Republic Water Inspection Service inspects:

• protection of water from pollution,
• protection against water and functionality of water protection facilities,
• watercourse design and waterbed and water land maintenance,
• possession of and compliance with the water acts,
• use and supply of water and
• other requirements prescribed by the law.
