The Republic Forestry Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning compliance with the regulations referring to forests and forestry, hunting, national parks, reproductive material of forest trees and bushes, and other administrative areas if so regulated.

In accordance with regulated competence, the Republic Forestry Inspection Service inspects:

• developing and implementing of plans in the area of forestry and hunting,
• the use of forests,
• safekeeping and protection of forests,
• cultivation of forests,
• protection and development of national parks,
• production and finishing of reproductive material,
• compliance with conditions for execution of works and planning in forestry,
• compliance with conditions for reproductive material quality checks,
• the work of facilities for primary processing of wood,
• the trafficking of products of forestry, game and pieces of game
• defining and management of hunting grounds,
• the use of hunting grounds and game,
• the work of gatekeeping services and protection of game and
• other requirements prescribed by the law.
