The Republic Agricultural Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning abidance of the regulations referring to phytosanitary surveillance during import (plant health protection, phytosanitary products, seeds and seedlings, fertilizers and soil refinement substances), and internal market surveillance which refers to primary vegetable production, agricultural land protection, agricultural and rural development subsidies and other administrative areas is regulated.

In accordance with regulated competences, Republic Agricultural Inspection Service inspects:

• quality and safety of agricultural raw materials during import,
• production, finishing, quality and traffic of the seeds and seedlings of agricultural herbs,
• production, quality and traffic of plant health protection products,
• plant health control during production and internal traffic,
• protection, cultivation and use of agricultural land,
• legitimate award and use of incentives,
• production and trafficking of tobacco, wine and brandy,
• use of GMO and
• other requirements prescribed by the law.
