The Republic Market Inspection Service conducts inspection surveillance concerning trade, hospitality, tourism, services, customer protection, prices, measuring units and devices, intellectual property, quality and security of non-food products and other administrative areas if so regulated.
In accordance with regulated competences, the Republic Market Inspection Service inspects:
- legality of goods in traffic,
- prices and price tags,
- keeping of prescribed business records,
- invoicing,
- product declaration,
- the usage of correct and verified measuring units and devices,
- basic requirements for quality and safety of non-food products,
- accommodation and alimentation service provision,
- tourism service provision,
- protection of intellectual property rights,
- abiding consumer rights and
- other requirements prescribed by the law.
